Drehen sich mehrere um, darf das Talent entscheiden, wen er als Coach für die weitere Runde möchte. Sind die Blind Auditions geschafft, beginnt das harte Training für die Talente.
Gemeinsam mit ihren anderen Teammitgliedern werden sie von den Coaches gefördert und gefordert — und auf die Battle Round vorbereitet. Nun singen zwei oder drei der Talente aus demselben Team gemeinsam einen Song — doch nur einer der Teilnehmer kann weiterkommen.
Entschieden wird dies von den jeweiligen Coaches, die durch einen "Steal Deal" auch ein Talent, das von einem anderen Coach abgelehnt wurde, übernehmen können.
Nun folgt die dritte Phase, in der die Coaches die Sängerinnen und Sänger auswählen, die in den Liveshows auftreten dürfen. In den Liveshows treten die Künstler wiederum innerhalb ihrer Coachinggruppen gegeneinander an — alle Entscheidungen, die in den Liveshows fallen, werden allein durch den Zuschauer gefällt.
